The turn came in November 2006, when she said she would stop shooting scenes with men and put her attention on directing. Women-only scenes, solo work and photo shoots stayed on the schedule. Her directorial debut had been for Combat Zone, a gonzo label, and in 2007 she became the first woman to direct for Diabolic Video, where she took a volume of the Unnatural Sex series. The announcement did not hold as a clean break. A blog post described a contract with the French company Marc Dorcel, and by late 2007 she had shot a gang bang scene with four men. Directing and performing continued side by side, which is the more interesting career shape: a performer who learned the business inside the frame and then took charge of it.
The portrait above is a studio shot and a deliberate piece of styling. She wears black lingerie patterned in lace and houndstooth, with yellow trim, a yellow bow at the centre of the bust and matching garter straps holding black stockings. Her hair is dark, worn smooth and cut to the shoulder with a blunt fringe, and her mouth is slightly open. The background is a plain warm wall with the dark curve of a chair at one side. It is a catalogue image in the best sense: garment, light and posture all doing the same job. This page is an independent profile in six languages and makes no claim to be her official site.
